NUIT BLANCHE 2013
In January 2012 thousands of Russian activists were banned from publicly protesting against alleged local election corruption. In response they staged a demonstration of small toys which, unfortunately, was also banned by authorities. In appreciation of these activists, Workparty staged a similarly spirited protest at Toronto City Hall for Nuit Blanche 2013; Toronto’s free all-night contemporary art event.This entailed hunting down and purchasing approximately 5000 Kinder toys, which serendipitously were found through one source on Craigslist.
