In Italy an Osteria is most likely a multiple generation family-run kitchen with frame after frame with photos of ancestors filling the walls. Historic Osterias were hubs for locals to gather, hear news, gossip and sports while they eat. And where travellers knew they could get some great home cooking, a spot where everyone has a place at the table. There was no escaping the tradition of family in this space so we scanned dozens of beautiful old family photos from the Mammaliti and Di Maria collections.
These were introduced on business cards, glass peepholes and wooden boards through the space. Raw materials such as craft paper and chip board where used for print along with wood and metal to create an organic feel.
Collateral includes branding, signage, custom t-shirts & aprons, water jet cut metal names, environmental installations and more. Designed while working with Andrew Di Rosa at SMALLL
